Im looking at a vid on youtube, and he is saying that is the last Conrail Unit that was active went past him, no it wasnt a Heritage Unit, it was a SD50, It isnt the last one, there are GP15's that have Conrail Scheme and are in service, So is it really the end of Conrail???? !*don-know!*

As far as I'm concerned, that is the last Conrail painted engine in regular service on a Class 1, Whoever told you there are GP15's in CR paint is lying, there are ex-CR GP15's in service elsewhere but none in CR paint.

!!**sorry**!!

CN still has 12 ex conrail C40-8W's in conrail blue but with a CN noodle on the side where the conrail logo was.

Well, I wouldn't put it that way. Conrail still exists as the Conrail Shared Assets Operations in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

Actually, Conrail isn't no more, it's actually more. !**duh*!! There are CR blue GP15-1's, GP38-2's, SD40's, SD50's, C30-7's, C39-8's, you name it. When CSX and NS took over Conrail they acquired a lot of extra power, a lot of which was sold before it was repainted.

That should shed some light, updated today. Those are all(if not most) of the CR blue units today, 7-21-13.

Those might be patched, but right now those locos may not be active anymore. *!sad!*

Um they are, the B23-7R's that OHCR has are used probably daily. I'm also 100% sure that at least one CN C40-8W is used daily. New England Central uses their SD40-2's frequently. Conrail is not gone and in fact is plentiful.

Though the engines are patched, they are owned by the Ohio Central Railroad. whether or not they are still in CR paint is beyond me.

I've seen a couple of those CN/IC/CN D-8's. There are more than you think. No, Conrail isn't gone forever, CN still has those little blue devils. 5424 just had the Conrail lettering. that was all that was so special about it. Conrail will never die. They've been trying for years.
