Those are Amtrak units, too. I think Amtrak should make the Veterans Unit #42 the standard paint scheme! It looks pretty cool to me.

I agree, Phase V is a pretty boring paint scheme. So much grey *!mad!*

That's Dave running the Pere Marquette we caught last night! they didn't make him stop, they jsut told him there would be a photo shoot and he was in it. his last 5 runs have been nothing but heritage units. Lucky guy. Plus, he held over the stop like he did with the veterans unit two days ago to give use different headlight/markerlight variations for the foamers.

Phase IV and V pretty much took all of the American out of America's railroad. Sure, it looks good on the Acela express, but the P42DC's should have something like the Vet's unit. Take the logo off and maybe the stars and we'd be good to go. I also love their choice of a metallic paint for the black/grey area on the nose. It gives it an interesting shine.
