I'm going to be taking the Silver Meteor from Delray Beach, FL to NYP in late June, and we booked a Viewliner roomette. I was curious how the tipping process is, maybe if you guys know. I searched the internet, but so many responses vary from the others. There's no consistency ! So hopefully, you can help. Do you tip the conductor? I know you should tip the sleeping car attendant, but what is a reasonable tip? What about the people who bring you food (waiters I guess?) in the dining car? So many questions!!! *!question!*

I only tip for food service. In the US, 15% is the usual tip, altho, depending on the service, I'll tip an easy 20%. Crap service, I'll just give a buck. dern food on a train costs so much anyways! Crap, bring your own sandwiches, and bottles of water. !!*ok*!!
