Trains magazine has an excellent article in the April issue about Andrews Raid back during the Civil War. It covers a lot of ground that i've taken a lot of pictures of over the years. Almost makes me want to revisit the W&A....

I'm sure you remember Zoe and I working on the W&A for MSTS. We got as far as Kingston from Atlanta, with the spur to Cooper's Furnace and the line to Rome out of Kingston.
Shame we never got it finished but life took it's toll on the route.

If you do decide to give it a shot for RW, I still have a lot of the info I dug up on it, including the original trackage from before the flooding of the Allatoona Valley.

I will be picking up the new issue of Trains, even though I have read everything I could find on the "GLC" since I was 12. I would love to see a W&A project in RW.

I loved this issue, came just in time for my class presentation on Civil War Railroads.
