Hard to believe so much destruction resulted from a derailment at 25 kph.
It is difficult to see from the pictures, but it seems that the guys were unlucky: something smashed the cab after the loco flipped.
One picture shows fence posts close to the cab window.

No wonder it was hard to believe: it now appears that the train switched tracks at 100 kph while the speed limit was 25 kph.
Brakes were never applied.
