Posted: Mon Sep 12, 2011 2:09 amShot at the bottom of the grade (this isn't even the steepest part). The photographer is standing on the "run-away" track. Trains coming down the grade were "timed" literally. If they descended to fast the train was considered a run away and the switch for the run away track (2 of them) would be set.
