CN Using Safetran Signals?

I don't know when, but upon travelling to a water park about last week, I noticed freshly installed Safetran Signals on the CN Sprague Subdivision instead of the typical Searchlight type. Are those old Searchlights slowly going to get the boot for CN? It seems so. I like the old searchlights.

I couldn't agree more.
It's so sad that they rip off the old Searchies. What a well designed signal and they did their job well for so many years.

Unfortunately UP is also replacing them in the Feather River Canyon now. There fades away one of the last signs of the Western Pacific era.

Out here on the sub line near me, they have that (I don't know what you actually call it) solid state bell at a crossing, and LED's in the crossing lights. LED's for the line signals, too. Those LED's are bright as heck, tho!

Yes CN does use SafeTrain signaling, mostly in the west around Edmonton, in manitoba they use the older signals
