A soccer mom in a minivan stopped on the tracks in memorial day parade traffic around here back in 09' and her husband (who for some reason drove seperately) and a cop on parade duty got injured while trying to get the kids out. Everyone survived though the cop and husband were badly injured and now they're trying to sue CP for being careless. They're saying since CP was warned about the increased traffic they should have put a speed restriction on the area, and CP had already mandated extra horn blowing in the area because of the parade. They say if the train had been going slower it wouldn't have happened, but there's NO CHANCE that the train would have stopped in time, speed restriction or not. Just stupid. http://www.justicenewsflash.com/2010/03/31/elm-grove-wi-couple-files-personal-injury-suit-canadian-pacific-railway_201003313854.html People these days

(at least it is here) truthfully you should alwayse wait for enough room on the other side of the crossing to cross in this case, they said they got stuck on the tracks? Bull ****, just an excuse to try and get some money. as for the police, they actualy don't have any juristiction on railway speedlimits and certan parts of operations, including traffic crossings. HUR DUR! just needed to vent a little bit, these people just make me angry!
