PHOTOS: Crash Causes Atlanta Bridge Collapse happened a mere 7.5 miles from where I live. The Driver is Charged in Crash That Caused Bridge Collapse. You can see where the bridge has been hit multiple times over the years.

Apparently the driver didn't lower the bed all the way down before leaving where ever he was before traveling down the road and under the bridge. !DUH!

That's just a tad north of Inman Yard.

I wonder if the drug tested him?

You would think they did. He should have his CDL pulled too (if he has one that is).

On another note, today a NS train suffered a derailment in Monroe County. Not a good week for railroads here in GA.

It better be. I just checked and it is up. It is still a work in progress too and to make matters worse, work gets in the way (but work pays the bills to keep it up).

Well, it seems to be working now, but yesterday at about 6:30 PM it wasn't. Your avatar wouldn't show up is what gave me a clue so I clicked on the link and all I got was the usual "This page could not be found" type of message.

Probably one of those temporary gremlin glitches. I get them occasionally myself. *!greengrin!*
