Never saw these? I guess they are from the 50s?
The design reminds me of Fallout 3.

Fascinating! These were diesel/ hydraulic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GMD_GMDH-1 Even before I read that article, I was gonna say it reminds me of a '55 Chevy. Sure enough, it was built in '56.

When I first saw these I thought "butt-ugly". The design is starting to grow on me, however.

They only built 4. 2 have been scrapped, one is at the Canada Science and Technology Museum , the other is in Pakistan where they used it building a dam.

The first picture looks likes a '51 Studey.
