Rail Strike maybe

Doesn't seem to be on the radar of the tabloid press.

I just use the search function for it. Would I use it solely as a news source, No.

After reading several articles about it. It looks like the Rail Unions are still negotiating for better working conditions and policy changes with the CEO's of the Class I RRs. I'm sure out of typical fashion a last minute deal will come out of this with the slight nudge from Congress.

Just over 24 hours until the cool down period expires. It will be interesting how this plays out.

Apparently there will be no strike at this time or at least until after the election. (No this is not a political statement.)

The freight companies have agreed to allow workers to take unpaid days off for medical care, the Washington Post reported. They previously were not allowed sick days.

The agreement provides one additional personal leave day. It also allows members to attend three annual routine or preventive health care visits. However, those appointments must be scheduled at least 30 days in advance, and must take place on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Unbelievable.
