Cummins QSK50 Locomotive finished and in Final testing this morning. Federal Emissions Funding are available to help for purchasing this unit. It is a Tier 3 GP38cc model locomotive.
For ease of maintenance, parts replacement and commonality with the rest of a railroads fleet, our idea for this remanufacture was to maintain everything EMD except for Engine and alternator. That is a Cummins / Kato package.
