Those with the Victory Works S160 locomotives, or those just with an interest in USA steam exports might be interested in the clip -
https://youtu.be/-RQQm47efjY Last weekend on the Churnet Valley line in the UK, for the first time in nearly 80 years, 3 S160 locomotives were working together in single, double head, double with banker or triple head combinations. A great sight and sound.
Now the rant -

if you are lucky enough to be the custodian of a historic artefact, it is upon you to care for and maintain that artefact. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean it should be painted up like a 2 bit slapper. The locomotives look and sound better than they ever have in their existence - not bad for engines that were designed to be basically used and thrown away. One of the engines, 2253, which was only returned to steam last year, has been painted up in LMS crimson Lake with black smoke box, but still retains the USATC tender lining - WTH! This is tantamount to UP painting the 4014 hi-vis safety orange, with blue smoke deflectors and a purple cab roof. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
That said, it looked like a great weekend of steam activity
