Anybody want a real SW-1 locomotive?

Grab a rock, have a seat, and talk about the real world of trains.

Hmmm it's only 25k, if you buy a nice coach to go along with it, you can take it on vacation and stuff! The only problem is getting the Class 1s and shortlines to let you run on their rails. Well that, and finding a place to park it! !*roll-laugh*!

Beautifull LV colors. Only 27 of these were ever built. I hope it ends up in good hands.

Only 25k? Seems cheap. Wonder what is wrong with it.

Several of those out here in "wine country" in California. Serve food and go between wineries on abandoned track. Grand Canyon railway is another one. Actually probably a lot of them in the US if you look around. Better have deep pockets to run that kind of a business, tho, until it starts making money.

You know, sometimes I wish I could run my own shortline/tourist railroad. We'd haul both freight and passenger service. :D
