Could You Make The Grade?

Other than owning a cat, combining bicycling and trains is the closest thing to Heaven there is. George Hincapie, one of Lance Armstrong's lieutenant's from Team Postal / Discovery, puts on three or four mass bicycle rides every year. The next one features Saluda Mountain as one of the climbs on the route. It would be fun to get to know pain that the train crews felt while trying to climb The Grade.
