carbodies on the main

Grab a rock, have a seat, and talk about the real world of trains.

carbodies on the main

What could be better than seeing a steamer or old carbody (E, F, PA, FA, etc....units) on the mainline, either on excursions or business trains or freight service?

If you have stories/pics/videos of any of this kinda action in recent years, post it here!

A few weeks back, I got a shot of the Wisconsin Southern's A-B-A E unit set pulling a business train of some sort north on the CN mainline along the locally infamous Duplainville Rd.
(Sorry if the picture quality is bad, my cell phone was the only available camera!)

Lucky catch. I have yet to catch one of those OCS'... The W&S ones are pretty good looking but the best are the NS OCS F Units. *!!wink!!*

*Not my videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJ23uSa9MwE&hd=1

The UP E's aren't bad neither: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N49FrFjg19o&hd=1

I did see the Bennett Levin E Units. Sadly didn't get photos/videos..

That NS unit is nice. May be now that Dick Cowen has ditch lights working, perhaps he would consider re-releasing this F & E units with them.
