I have lots of fond memories railfanning along the Florida Panhandle route. My favorite spot was Chattahoochie, FL, where the L&N from Pensacola met the SAL from Jacksonville. Freight and passenger trains would stop in the yard, exchange locomotives and continue to their destinations. I grew up in the diesel era but I would love to read about Chattahoochie during the steam era.
