Finding speed limits (Saluda)?

Hey guys,

Working on a Saluda route now in TS and was wondering - how do I find out the speed limits on the track? I've never heard or seen anything in all my years kicking around Southern Railroad history and looking over books, websites etc. All I have heard is that when they put in the electronic timed section that you could not exceed 8mph going down the grade of course or the runaway would be your next stop.

But it seems if you could muster 10, 15, even 20mph upgrade then that was fine? Was just curious so I can set the speed limits in the game itself.

Thanks!
Kyle

According to this post here:
http://cs.trains.com/trn/f/111/t/224839.aspx
The speed up the grade was 25MPH. (Whenever they hit 25)

Awesome info, thanks! So 25 it is - I was wondering if upgrade there was almost no limit to speak of since it seems they would A) Probably never get above 20-25mph B) Need that speed and momentum at some point anyways

This may help give some insight into how they ran Saluda.

Thanks Fleegle! Seen it before but it's always a good one! Really neat insight to the modern operations on Saluda.
