Sometimes, it doesn't pay to be the first in line to get a seat.

Are all those passengers standing on the platform complete newbie's in rail commuting?

That situation isn't without danger actually an audio message should warn people waiting. What if somebody is smashed under a train coming down the other track? Who is liable?

I once had lots of ice falling on me when a truck with a tarpaulin covered trailer rounded a corner and the sheet of ice slid off the trailer. It wasn't a pleasant experience, and since then, I watch out for those situations.

I was wondering myself about some of that. Someone moving to the other side of the platform to get away from this could get hit by a train on that side. But, I would say that the chik in the foreground of the video deserved this. Nose in that dern cell phone, completely oblivious of her surroundings. A Darwin Award candidate in training.

Well, the engineer overshot the platform. Seems to me, that they should have been better prepared to enter the station at a slower speed.

There are lots of videos with trains smashing through piled up walls of snow at grade crossings etc. It is a very spectacular sight.

I also remember a video of a train in India or Japan running at speed through a flooded viaduct completely engulfing everything within 50 feet.
