This year is steam's big year. So many locos going in and out of service. Glad this berk is back!

The 765 is a NKP Berk, this one is a Chessie Berk.

While you have to commend the enthusiasm, just where are they going to run??. There are so many BIG engines running or under restoration, with limited scope for operation. Look at 3751, don't think it ran last year; maybe a couple of trips thsi year. All the time the tube clock is ticking. And then there is the T1. They were limited in route availability when in service - that route doesn't even exist now
Dropped in and had a look at SF 2926 in ABQ the other week when I was there - a beautiful job on the restoration, their clock is already ticking, they are still looking for somewhere to run and are probably a year away still. Then of course there is the Pac NW and 4449 & 700 - when did they last get a chance to stretch their legs?

At least the other C&O loco has a home on the WM (Looking forward to seeing that one...)
