FEC Double Tracking..... Again!
Posted: Tue Mar 22, 2016 6:33 pmAs part of the All Aboard Florida/Brightline project, the FEC is being double tracked. The original double track was torn out about 40 years ago to improve efficiency! 
Here's some pictures I took today at the Gregory Road level crossing in West Palm Beach. The materials and crane on the south side of the road are for construction of the C51 canal bridge several hundred yards to the south of the crossing. The Miami to West Palm section is scheduled to go live with commuter service in about a year. Stay tuned!
