I found something interesting!

So i was taking a look at my MILW Desk Shippers Map of 1944 hanging in my room. I noticed Cross Atlantic Routes presumably for the war effort against Germany. I noticed a route going DEEP into Europe into the port of Danzig, Poland. Knowing how the soviets advanced hardcore in late 1943-1944 i brushed it off and told myself "the Soviets probably took over Danzig by then." But alas, i was WRONG!!! It turns out that Danzig wasn't liberated by the allies until Jan-Apr 1945. So why would the MILW have a shipping route to Danzig when it was still controlled by the Nazis?

Just because there was a route doesn't mean they were actually shipping on it. Are you sure it was active?

the line is dotted, but i would assume that has a totally different meaning then in the railroad sense. I cant find information on the MILW Shipments heading across the Atlantic during the war. there are other paths to all over, which is weird. upon looking at the map it seems your choice is the best outa them all. I found routes heading towards the allies I.E) London, Scotland; and routes heading into axis controlled territory I.E) Olso, Hamburg, and Northern Italy.

This is really weird, but its safe to say those might be line that were inactive.

Its a known fact that many large American industries shipped raw material-manufactured good to pre-Nazi Germany, and country's within the area.
This was before active aggression began. Iron ore was a big commodity as was Ford Tri-moter airplanes. The major industries would rather keep that information to them selves.
