Ortner & Trinity Hoppers - when were they built?

Unread postby ex-railwayman » Sat Nov 28, 2015 7:00 am

Being English, I'm still learning about the intricacies of American rolling stock that we like to use as authentically as we possibly can on the various routes on offer in the game. Iain (Eyein12) created some lovely Ortner and Trinity Hoppers, however, after attempting to do a bit of research I have been unable to come up with any facts regarding the years that these hoppers were built, which States they operated in, and if they are still in operation today. As a fan of Fallen Flags I would like to operate my trains with the old first and second Generation diesel locos, but, I'd like to know if these hoppers were around in the 1970s/80s/90s, before these Railroads were swallowed up by the big companies, can anyone give me some help here, please?
