The southbound Amtrak Vermonter hit a rock slide and derailed this morning in Northfield, VT. Two cars and the engine are off the tracks, with the engine and one of the cars going down a steep embankment. Seven injuries at this time, passengers are being cared for at Norwich University.
Ironic since I was just driving an Amtrak train on the CV Route last night and it derailed
