Do they do that before every play? I thought commercial breaks were too much.

It's a tradition among the pacific island teams. Although it is slowly spreading to other areas with tribal traditions.
They only do it at the start of a match.
Most New Zealand teams do it in all sports, not just Rugby.

The New Zealand Rugby team did it first, way back in 1888 during a trip to the UK.
It's fasinating, they apparently have several different war dances they do, all classified as Haka.
