After seeing a few pictures of GECX 2015, I was wondering, what is that boxy 'hump' on the locomotive?

I would assume that was stuff that had to be added to meet Tier 4 Requirements.

So the engine section is now taller than the rest of the carbody. The lower roof with rounded contour over the engine in the previous models of the Evolution series was the last remnant of GE's U-boat carbody shape.
