The Canadian Transportation Safety Board has released their final report on the Lac Megantic derailment which killed 47 people and flattened the main street of the town. This report is not to assign blame but to help ensure this doesn't happen again. You can read the full report here.

Found a video of one of this railroad's other crude trains taken only 2 months before the derailment. This train has 6 locos (1 dead in consist... the last blue EMD #3166. Ironically it was on the derailed train too), a buffer car and a locotrol caboose. The train in the disaster was the same setup, but only 5 locos.

Google Street View took pictures of Lac Megantic only a month before the derailment. It's spooky to look at the buildings at street level where people perished that are no longer there. The satellite view shows the leveled buildings though.
