I had no idea they moved the N&W 611. I know there is a move underway for restoration/excursion service. Here is a link to the latest that I discovered. http://fireup611.org/?page_id=20
This would have been a pretty cool event. I love to see the PA in NKP paint,also!

I went to the event, but I missed the move out by about 30 minutes *!rolleyes!* 611 is supposed to come home under power in about a year. Now THAT will be worth seeing!
Down another rabbit hole we go....

I was able to see the 611 many times in Ohio,in the 90's,I have many hours of video of it. I am looking forward to see it under power again.

Had the opportunity to attend both the daytime and night shoot on Friday. It was an absolute blast to have the chance to see all of those old workhorses in one place. And definitely a nice change to listen to the chorus of 567s over the daily parade of 710s and GEVOs roaming around these days. Will post some of my shots once I find the time to edit the all.
