This just about explains my situation here in Ohio.

In my region of NC, were supposed to get a 8 degree temperature for tonight as a low, and then it will be a tops of about 29 degrees tomorrow.

I had to light two oil lamps in my water pump house (built out of granite by me BTW) to keep the pump from freezing up.

I also have the baseboard heat on and a wood stove going strong. Gonna have some heat tonight. !*cheers*!

EDIT: Scratch that 29. It's supposed to be 21 for a tops tomorrow. !*hp*!

It's 4:49 in the PM here on the Atlanta North District, with plenty of sunshine. The temperature is a balmy 18, with winds of 23mph, making it feel like -8. All you sunbathers be sure to turn it before you burn it!

Our low for later tonight is 4, with an expected wind chill of -25. Nice nite for a stroll through the park in Georgia!

Here in Quebec we're just out of a cold wave at -22F.
Three days later it's raining. Tonight it will all freeze up again.

I used to drive truck up in Quebec area and north of Quebec City up to ST. Ambrose. Got to experience -40°F first hand. Not fun.

Y'all shoulda been me out on the gangway this past December when it was -14 deg w/o windchill, -40 with. Shoveling coal into a firebox while standing on 1/4'' of ice is fun, I was being called Wayne Gretzky...

It's a nice and toasty 52 here in Las Vegas. This is one time I'm actually glad to be here.
I've heard that chill may reach us though.

A few years ago I was snowmobiling in Northern Wisconsin at -31F. All it takes is proper clothing and the right amount of anti-freeze. *!lol!*
!*YAAA*!

We're getting down to 22 F with a windchill in the teens. Thankfully there's no rain otherwise we would have a lot of wrecks cause LA drivers can't drive in snow !**duh*!!
