I got to go in the cab of SP 4449 on my birthday yestarday.......
Should I make an entirely new thread? Cause I got lotsa pictures of this..

The UP has started leasing former CSX AC6000CWs that were acquired by Progress Rail a few months back. The locomotives are equipped with a GEVO-16 prime mover, and are rated at 4400 HP. I caught MSSAL (South Saint Paul MN to Altoona WI) coming through Roberts WI on 06/17/2018 with PRLX 615 and 640 as the sole power.

My train today with the Genset on the other end. Its a busy and long day today. We'll tie up at 2100... As long as everything goes right. We're on break right now in between trains.

Here is a picture I took of a South African Railways Class 19D - built originally in 1938 in Berlin by Borsig Lokomotiv Werke.

It is still fully operational - part of a number of locos operated by Rovos Rail on their luxury trains - which is why it looks so clean and immaculate even though it is in steam.
