Don't have any pix, but the SW10 and RSD5 at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center where I spend much of my free time do that sometimes when they accelerate several notches at a time, or when they start up.

Not an amazing pic, but it's nice. I also got a video for YouTube.

They should hopefully have added some more cars while on their way to Crewe yesterday. Sometimes the V17/V18 can get lengthy.

I've seen where they have put a GEVO on the local that runs right up to the propane industry in Chesapeake. The industry is only a short distance away from Portlock yard where the local terminates. This local in particular uses a caboose to make the reverse move back to the yard.

The UP's power shortage has gotten so bad, that they have been forced to drag out the disliked SD9043ACs from the dead lines. There are currently 20 or so active, but UP plans to put around a total of 60 back in service at the present time. I managed to catch MSSAL heading east bound out of St. Paul with one of these sharp looking units leading. First image is taken at Sono Jct (Hudson WI), and the second image is east of Roberts WI.

Here is a video of the train climbing the Hudson hill. The SD9043AC and SD70M were on line, while the SD60M was isolated. The sound of 16-710s in notch 8 is certainly a sound to behold.
