Great shots everybody!

You ever have a day where everything just falls right into place perfectly without (much) effort on your part? Yeah, well I just had one of 'em. Wasn't even railfanning in the true sense of the word, just dickerin' around doing stuff I needed to do and trains just fell into my lap. Some awesome power, and definitely a few of my favorite shots I've ever taken.

Making me feel left out. And wanting to buy a DSLR sooner... *!lol!*

After NS fried CSX's signals in Berea. This intermodal stopped. While walking down to get this picture a manifest came by on the close track with a CEFX AC4400CW leading a CP AC4400CW... Some days you're lucky, other days you get skunked.

Great shots everyone! Keep em' coming. Yesterday, I saw something quite interesting; a 1950's bulkhead flat with Bettendorf trucks with the journals opened up and retrofitted with roller-bearings at the end of a CP manifest. Dang, that would of been a nice catch!
They exist everywhere. You may not see them, but they're there. Awww yeeeaaaahhhh, 20% Cooler! /)

Cool! That's quite the thing to see! Anyways, in the spirit of "Keep em' coming", here's a shot of normal ol' GE's worth posting.

My best 3 from chasing Wisconsin & Southern's T004 (Horicon to Janesville) yesterday. My buddy (who was driving) took a wrong turn and we almost ended up in Illinois!

Sucks you got busted for taking pics, here in Apex the cops before drove past me taking train pics, waved and smiled, then stopped several kids my age for hanging off standing railcars. Railfans are respected here in NC by police and railroad personel from what I've seen going across the state.

Yea, all thw major hotspots here in Ohio are like that, NS doesnt even care if youre on their property here. As long as you dont get hit or graffiti up a stopped train youre fine. And no Im not saying to take advantage of NS' rules, just dont go over the top...

Same here dude, CSX lets me walk right through their material storage area/scrap storage, take pictures of the hirail trucks in their parking lot, I come to Apex so often that all the guys know me as the kid with the camera and a CSX hat.

SPAULDING. Located east of Elgin, Illinois, the junction is on Spaulding Road just west of Naperville Road and south of U.S. Rte. 20. Here, the J crosses Metra's Milwaukee West Line to Elgin. Beyond Elgin, the line is owned by Canadian Pacific, who reacquired it when they purchased the Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern in 2008 (CP sold this line to I&M Rail Link in the early 1990's). Commuter trains dominate the traffic on Metra, but some local freights can also be seen, as well as a few CP road trains. There are connectors in the southwest and southeast quadrants, and local freights that serve an industrial area to the west sometimes use the former to access the CN/EJE. Traffic on the former J is now considerably greater than before the CN acquisition. Together with the Metra trains, Spaulding is now a fairly busy place.
