Kyle. Did you even notice that you caught a YN3 B40-8?! Talk about rare! And in the same shot with Southern!!! !*YAAA*! !*drool*! **!!bow!!** !*salute*!

No, it was even better. An Ex-CR downgraded B20-8 and even MORE rare.

Look out everyone, I've been at it again.... I think the past few months, I've done some of my best work ever....but I'll let you folks be the judge of that...

A solid trio of CP SD40-2s test air before departing the Milwaukee Road's Muskego Yard with regional manifest #484. 5-27-13
Image

A big ACe in the face! UP sand train RWIOTS rolls east towards Butler Yard on a beautiful morning. 5-31-13
Image

With engineer and conductor on the ground for the roll by, WSOR T003 waits on the siding at Duplainville as a CN freight screams by. (You'll see a lot more night shots of this train!) 5-31-13
Image

With over 9,000 feet of mixed freight dragging behind, a classic ex-MILW SD40-2 leads the charge out of Milwaukee with CP 281. 6-18-13
Image

SOO is getting hard to come by, and I felt privileged to nab this CP GM34 heading down to the Port of Milwaukee in some sweet morning light. Just days later this train was abolished. 6-20-13
Image

We're in the hotseat of my 1994 Dodge Ram as CN L504 creeps up in the passing lane. 6-22-13
Image

The moon is rising over CN A491 as the crew finishes paperwork after making a set out at Duplainville. 6-25-13
Image

Severe weather bounces around the area, as a CN stack train departs Duplainville just before dawn. The lighting was literally this color, very spooky to say the least! 6-26-13
Image

Once again, WSOR T003 has been stabbed by the CN, and now wait at Duplainville for a few southbounds. 6-27-13
Image

Safety Orange! Nice to get some EJ&E action, as CN L510 begins the long trek home to Shops yard in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. This guy was really pounding, as the IC SD40-3 in tow was dead, and the grade out of Sussex is not easy with 30+ loads, quite the sight and sound for sure! 6-30-13
Image

Right behind the J, was a pair of Zebra Striped SD60Fs with manifest A447. 6-30-13
Image

An ex-CNW motor leads a stack train down the former SOO, now as CN 2126 with stacker Q116. What a small world it is. 6-30-13
Image

It's the dead of night at Butler Yard as manifest train VPPR cools it's heels after the run east from Adams. 7-3-13
Image

Two AC4400CWs, one CEFX; the other CP, chug out of the sag in Brookfield with oil train #608 behind. 7-4-13
Image

A GT Geep flies up the main line at Duplainville with CN's Tech train. 7-5-13
Image

Duplainville is in bloom as WSOR T003 makes the run up the CN in daylight. 7-5-13
Image

Soaking up the last rays of the day, T003 prepares to get off the CN and back onto home rails at Slinger. 7-5-13
Image

A pair of freshly painted SD60s bring CN M344 past the "White House" of Waukesha, Wisconsin. 7-6-13
Image

It's the witching hour at Duplainville as IC 3138's lights silhouette the cab of EJE 660 as it slumbers. 7-9-13
Image

Dang that scotch-lite gets bright! 7-9-13
Image[

The first northbound Hiawatha Service train of the day arrives in Milwaukee behind AMTK 42. 7-11-13
Image

Now late in the afternoon, we see the 42 leading a northbound scoot into Milwaukee again. 7-11-13
Image

A nice all EMD lashup brings empty ethanol train 643 out of Milwaukee. 7-11-13
Image

Early morning light bathes WSOR T004 as it heads east to get on the CN. 7-13-13
Image

AMTK Hiawatha Service Train #332 climbs through the brick and concrete caverns on it's way out of Milwaukee. 7-13-13
Image

A mighty GEVO waits for a clear track at Butler Yard with manifest CHVP. 7-18-13
Image

The most ridiculous lashup I've ever caught, CN Z711 rolls down to pick up a CP crew and head into Milwaukee to pick up coke loads. GP9RM, GP38, SD38-2, SD40-3 in 2013? Craziness. 7-19-13
Image

Canadian Cab Dash9 2502 charges north in the late afternoon with M345 in tow. 7-23-13
Image

The moon is up over WSOR T003 as it gets stopped yet again at Duplainville for southbound traffic. 7-26-13
Image

One of my favorite night shots from Duplainville. Just happened upon this guy after a long, grueling band practice. Some CN northbound waits for traffic with some eastern visitors! 7-27-13
Image

I happened upon this T003 stopped in Eagle, Wisconsin. The crew was taking their lunch break at a local bar and grill, and they were fine with me getting up close and personal. 7-30-13
Image

Then I took a little trip out to the Mississippi! I went out to play a music festival with my band, and squeezed in some railfanning when I could.

Here, BNSF U-ELUNSD0-72T rolls through Fountain City, WI with NS's Savannah and Atlanta heritage unit on point! 8-3-13
Image

Then across the river to the CP side, where a BNSF powered coal train was rolling east through Winona, MN. 8-3-13
Image

And on my way back to the gig, I happened upon CP 270 working it's way towards Iowa. 8-3-13
Image

That's all for now folks!

So I got some good ones of hurritage units and other stuff lately. And the one and only C&M 7014 with that lovely K5LA you've been hearing about.

AMTK406 in trailing position of CSX P370-06 as it departs St. Joseph, MI.

Image

AMTK406 at the lead of CSX P371-08 as it boards passengers at Grand Rapids, MI.

Image

How's this for one big treat in a shot? A heritage unit and a signal bridge for the Steam Era of the Pere Marquette! There's one more surprise... Who can spot it?

Image

C&M 7014 at 48th Street (There's the lovely K5LA. Even I can't stop foaming over it.)

Image

C&M 7014 at the sign 1/4 mile to 48th street.

C&M 7014 at Titusville: POPULATION: 3

At the end of the day.

Caught this one 2 days after this one was put back on after the "orange Front" paint scheme was put on.
