Nice shot!

I have a couple crappy cell phone pics of it since it spent several days tied down in Marshall, VA due to a faulty horn during the winter.

New York Central 8223. The very first rs3 that the New York Central ever bought and owned. Runs excursions on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad now and will be joining up with her sister engine 8255 which was more recently acquired from the midwest.

Image
Adirondack 1835 is one of the most common excursion pullers on the Adirondack Scenic, especially on more lengthy trips and with her sister engine 1845. Both of which are Ex CP and retain their original numbers and Canadian horn/bell.

This was taken with my cellphone through the window of my vehicle but this was a rare opportunity to see GNWR assembling the circus train after the shows were done in my area I actually had assumed CSX was taking on the role. Catching this completely by surprise on my daily commute made for an interesting moment.

New York Central mohawk 3001 in Elkhart, Indiana. Biggest surviving New York Central steam locomotive left in existence.

Image
The parent company of the Western New York and Pennsylvania, known as the Livonia Avon & Lakeville, pulls an excursion on their lines using some former New York Central Empire State Express passenger cars borrowed from a museum. I had to block out a face for privacy reasons. Alcos doing what they do best!
