OMG. The sky blue trackster in your last pic. I had that. I used to drive the older, serious members of the railroad model club crazy with that.

Haha, someone else owned a trackster! That thing is at least 20 years old. It made the most awful running noise and would derail constantly. !*roll-laugh*!

I vaguely remember there was something wrong with the wheel flanges. I replaced the wheels with brass ones that I made on my lathe, and I added lead weights wherever I could inside the body.

One other unique piece of junk I have is this odd Amtrak track cleaner. You dumped solution into it, inserted a foam block under it that would moisten with the cleaner and "clean" the tracks. It was rubbish though and also constantly derailed.

Lemmie go Google see if I can find a pic (not at home).

*minutes pass by*

Ahh yes.. Here it is. This thing was such junk.

Oh gods one of those things. I know a guy who bought one and wants to put a decoder in it just to see what happens.

At some point he and I did a bit of research and it turns out it's actually a decent facsimile of a particular type of track geometry car. I forget which though, and I don't remember the site we found it on.

All my SP / DRGW stuff. The UP Turbines and DD40X belong to a friend, while the Euro Star passenger train belongs to another. The Euro Star is OO Gauge (slightly bigger then HO scale).

I am part of Coffs Harbour Railway Modellers. We have one of the biggest movable layouts in the southern hemisphere. The hole thing fits into a trailer. Have a look at our website. The site's not entirely finished but you can get the picture of how big the layout is by a few of the construction photos.
