I don't know, I think the new SD70 Tier 4's are pretty nice, they have some nice creature comforts, and they are REALLY quite. Not like their predecessors, the ACe's that rattle and make enough noise to wake the dead. I think they were even louder then our old fleet of GP-15's!

That said, they still put that loud ear splitting horn on there. !*not-ok*!

P.S. While haggard, our SD70M's are solid troopers. They are showing their age, but they still put them as leaders on our fastest trains, because they are so reliable. They are easy riders, load fast, and are only noisey and uncomfortable because they have been abused and neglected for sooo many years. As a plus, no LCD/LED screens, analog baby! So they can only be run conventionally, no DPU.
