Was that done just for a TV commercial, or was it some kind of new train run/ type launching?

And, yes, that VIA Rail commercial wants me to run from border to border. Spend a month (and quite a few $$$$$$$$$, too)

It was created to commemorate the Kyushu Shinkansen which was supposed to open March 12th. The earthquake hit March 11th and it was never shown. But was released to inspire people following the quake and tsunami.
