Never knew why but those units really stood out to me, especially the ones with Leslie horns. I'm not quite sure what to think about the SD70ACUs, was never actually a big fan of SD90s so we will just have to wait and see.

I hope to someday work as an engineer on the NS too, but I have two questions, are the K5LLAs on the SD70ACE really loud in the cab too? Because I almost go deaf when one goes by. And have you ever ran a heritage unit?

Yes they are. Everything about an ACe/M-2 is loud.

Nice, I've seen about 11 or 12 myself including the 911, 6920 and 6963, but my grandpa has me beat by the Lackawanna and Virginian, because everytime I leave town, they come and he sees them..
Could you maybe also explain the engineer hiring process? Because graduation from high school is only a few years away, I know you only need a diploma or GED education wise.

First tip for the interview...
Railroad interviewer: Do you like trains MR.Berkshirefan765? (channeling Sam Kinison from the movie "Back to School") SAY IT!.....SAY IT!....
Berkshirefan765: Alright....I will say it. I hate them....I really, really hate them.....and I can't stand the sight of them!
Railroad interviewer: (channeling) Good answer......good answer..... like the way you think...... I'm gonna be watching you!![]()
I don't think that's how the hiring process works

It was kind of a joke to poke fun at the fact that railroads don't want to hire railfans. You'll have to ask the railroad engineers here how to creatively lie to get the job cuz they are in one form or another gonna ask the question to weed you out.
My guess is that thanks to the internet, the public at large can find out that railroads don't like railfans when hiring. I imagine that word of mouth fact now forces interviewers to act more like homicide detectives by questioning and asking in 20 different ways in hopes you'll slip up and give away the railfan side of you. Short of a polygraph or looking at all your posts on social media, I'm sure that's all they can do is hope to trip you up.

Haha, I don't know why it's like, illegal to like trains while working on the railroad, I guess so that people don't get distracted while working.
