Double stacks from either the Port Of Long Beach or Port of San Pedro can be 170 to 200 cars long. They pick up intermodal right in the port. Container cranes. Pacific Harbor Lines then sorts them out, puts them either with UP or BNSF. Then it's either north or east. I don't see much traffic on this local line, they recently built a car bridge over the Alameda Corridor lines, Alameda goes from both to Los Angeles and beyond. So, a lot of local train traffic was rerouted. I do see a lot of empty deep well cars stored here on the two sidings along this sub line. (line only goes from Long Beach to LAX)
LA Harbor to San Berdoo? Oh, crap. Four hours at least, maybe five if it's a heavy consist. That's a long trip to say the least. Better have a second crew.
