I work at the Poway-Midland railroad and am currently head of re-restoring a LARY trolley originally designed in 1894 I believe? It started off life as a trailer for a shortly lived cable car system, and was then rennovated into an open cab trolley. Around 1910-1912 it was changed into a track maintenence vehicle and ran until 1915 when it was retired and was sold to Laskey Movie Studios in the 20's where it became a trolley once more. I'm in a bit of a fight with some of the higher ups about changing the paint scheme because it's currently yellow and brown which were pretty standard colors for the track maintenence vehicles, but I would like to paint it yellow and white, which was closer to what a trolley would be painted, I also want to change the lettering style. My bosses say I should stick with the "original" paint scheme of the track maintenence vehicles because it was one and some of the other LARY cars were yellow and brown (for about 4 years 1908-1912 or so). I showed them a bunch of pictures of yellow and white LARY cars but they say they mean bupkis because their not the same car although they are basing their paint scheme off of the larger 2 truck LARY cars so I think their being hypocritical. I would like to know some other people's opinions as well as any information someone might have on car No.54 or 57 (were not really totally sure which our car is)
Here is our Trolley as it currently stands

Unfortunately I left my sketches at the office so you will have to use your imagination and this picture I found on the internet...

We believe that our car was the one in the back here

And it probrably looked like this rear car when it was first made

All the photos I researched are at work as well
What do you guys think about the issue? Do you like the white and yellow paint scheme? Do you have any helpful information on the car?
