Big engines and bigger engines still ...

From the Brazilian board, a series of pics of the transportation of narrow gauge BB40-9W engines.
The standard gauge NS engines are dwarfed!

Aren't these the Brazilian engines on narrow gauge 4 axle trucks that look like EMD's DD40X trucks?
Or are they supposed to be placed on dual 2 axle trucks sharing a single bolster, as indicated by the BB designation?

Here are some more pics and a text in Portuguese:

Export Brazilian locomotives are the same size as any North American locomotive. Here they are running on heavy duty flatcars and the reason they 'look' larger then the NS D9-40CW next to it. And yes, they run on a B+B-B+B configuration.

Mrs Douglas' post got me confused, there are/were narrow gauge SD45 on those DD40X-looking trucks.
Here is the original post with a picture: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5902&start=15#p60973
Might be very well these new GE's are their replacement?

Anyways, why didn't GE fit those Brazilian engines with standard gauge transport trucks? Perhaps the contract or insurance policy forbade running those engines on their own wheels?
Now they were an oversize load and probably a temporary PITA for the railroads involved intheir transport.

For those with knowlegde of Brazil railways or capable of Portuguese, what is the engine in the avatar of "Julio Rail" on the web page linked from my first posting?

Looks like an ex NP/VGN electric? Or possible NH EP-4 or even a MILW "Little Joe"?
