Cumbres and Toltec RR double header. The camera is on the tender of the helper. The shadows make the video.

Note: The trestle was rebuilt this last year, but they have to run the locomotives over it one at a time.

Nice video, thanks for sharing Mike! That ride is on my "to-do" list. We usually go to Colorado for vacation once every three years so will have to try to fit that in.

Starting next year, American Heritage Railways will oversee C&T's operations.
American Heritage Railways is owner of D&SNG and various other tourist railroads. I think thi is very good news for struggeling C&T.

As long as they don't make the C&T into a tourist trap like the D&SNG, close it off to railfans, and ruin the historic look of the railroad. The C&T always had a special charm since they allowed fans to wander around the yard and shops, while the D&SNG closed it all off. And has a general historic feel to the yard area.
