What is this rail vehicle?

It appears to say Motco, Marion Ohio, but googling that came up with nothing. The picture is by me, this vehicle is abandoned in Laurinburg, NC and is sadly partially scrapped in this picture. Anyone know what it is? It appears to be a track speeder of sorts, but the whole thing was once inclosed with an engine area like a locomotive it appears. Any Clues? Image

I'm guessing either a maintenance vehicle of some kind or a little industrial switcher. It's hard to tell from the picture, though.
I am become rust, ...destroyer of trains.

Sorry for the picture, my dad was taking it with me inside the vehicle. He's not a railfan, so he doesn't really get that I like detail shots... *!rolleyes!* It could be a switcher though, it has no maintenance of way looking parts on it, I thought it might be a piece of old MOW equipment, but it's hard to tell because its taken apart so much. It has standard couplers and was coupled to some abandoned early NWs and SWs. It very well might have pulled MOW flatcars/gondalas though. Thanks for the ideas, anyone else? Surely there ought to be someone on a big community like this who either saw one of these in use or even worked for a company that used them. It might very well be one of a kind though.

Industrial switcher for a steel plant most likely. Marion lies in Ohio's "Rust Belt."

This used to be Motco: http://nucorbar.com/Locations.aspx?i=11

Now it all works!! Thanks so much for the info, I take it these are rare nowdays? I just noticed the Marion Ohio part when I was examining the picture and found faded words below Motco, started highlighting them in paint.net, and sure enough it spelled out Marion Ohio. !*salute*!
