In keeping with many other railroads. NJ Transit has painted up a few heritage locomotives. Currently, the three locomotives are GP40PH-2 No. 4109 in its original CNJ scheme, ALP-45DP No. 4519 in Erie Lackawanna, and ALP-46 No. 4636 in Pennsylvania. The also have done up a set of the multilevels, but these are simply a vinyl decal that have been applied. This year marks NJ Transit's 40th year of operation. More info on the locos:
