Railroad Memorabilia

Grab a rock, have a seat, and talk about the real world of trains.

If you're on Facebook, check out the group Railroad and Railway Lantern Collectors. You'll see a lot of ATSF lanterns there. ATSF favored Bellbottoms so there are some stunning lanterns with the logo cast into the glass too, but I'll warn you. Western railway lanterns go for a lot, unless you make a good find, you might have to pay up a bit for them.

Does it count as railroad memorabilia if I use it every weekend? Here is my set of keys for both the Sierra Northern Railway and Sacramento Southern Railroad.

Thanks for pointing that group out, Drew. At least I now have a good idea of prices for the lanterns. I'll be on the lookout.... !!det!!

Does anyone collect date nails? I personally don't have any, but I was tempted to purchase a whole can of nails for $50 at an antique store but decided against it.

Some antique store finds from today... The first picture shows some memorabilia from the late 1930s.

Just got this, not sure how long I'll hold onto it but neat to have. Canadian Racor 17B switch. The tie even had a 1934 date nail in it.

A good friend and a pickup truck. He got one as well. Switch stands aren't really my thing but I couldn't argue with the price.
