Ugh, I pity the subway drivers, wonder how many more people they're going to inadvertantly splat...

The bridge was awesome!

This was illegal and very dangerous, but very interesting. *!greengrin!*

I want to see (after the light update) a NY subway route for RW.

I agree, it is highly illegal and dangerous. I dread the idea of how many "kids" will see this and think that it looks like fun.....how many bodies will ensue from this. I don't think that the guy who did the video spent near enough time mentioning the dangers and possible repercussions of doing this. The impression I got was "See...this is highly do-able, and all the people you meet underground are cheerful, nice people.....not so much.

BTW: There is a sim out that offers the NYC subway system on it....can't recall just now the title, but I remember having it. Never used it much because my system at the time didn't have the oomph to run the video....not even sure if I still have it. I'll do some looking around and see. If I find it (or if someone knows the program I'm talking about), I'll put it here.

I think you talk about World of Subways which is from a German developer.
It looks impressive, but I never bought it and most likely never will. I want this in Railworks.

That sounds right.....It was ok from what I recall, except that (not sure if it was the fault of my video limitations or not), you seemed to be eternally in darkness....once in a while a light would go by to show that "Yes, you're moving".

The amount of people in the nyc subway tunnels will make anyone outside of NYC cringe. Homeless, run away's, drugie's, etc. Nothing new to a "New Yorker" like myself.
People have been "urban exploring" since cities sprang up (I would actually like to try this [not the bridge climbing though]). I tried to ride the 6 train (it's goes through the station seen in the video, not allowed to ride when it turns around), but got busted by the mta. Would love to see that station up close.
Little more history about the station: http://www.nycsubway.org/perl/stations?5:979

Ah yes, UrbEx. I too have have a fascination with it, even before I knew what it was (until last year). I have myself done a little myself. But I do know what to look out for. At the creek by my house, there are tunnels that go under roads. They are actually quite long. During the winter (some of you may know, Winterpeg, Manisnowba/Man-its-cold-out), I can walk through them without worry as the ice in them doesn't get snow on it, so it has nothing insulating it from the cold, so it easily freezes through to the metal sewer pipe. It is quite fun. That's the worst I've done though. Excellent video too. Reminds me of the videos of Urban Exploration in the sewers of Toronto in the winter. Those are pretty interesting videos too. This one however, seems more underground (as in more illegal). It's cool. :D
They exist everywhere. You may not see them, but they're there. Awww yeeeaaaahhhh, 20% Cooler! /)
