I've found that the best way not to have to deal with reading other people's depressing thoughts is to just not read them. To some this thread may be depressing, for others it just might be what keeps them from reaching a point of depression that leads to them to doing something serious to their self or others. There are several threads on this forum and others I participate in that I know that reading them are just not my cup of tea, so I avoid/ignore them. Depression doesn't discriminate based on age. I know three different people who committed suicide because of reaching a point of depression where they thought no one cared about them. None of them were over the age of 45.

I turn over my king. If you guys want to talk about you prostates and people offing themselves go ahead. I thought this was supposed to be about railroading except for the geek speak section but what do I know. BTW as a admin I read every single post made on here. It's part of my high paid job.

Well just so you know, I am not depressed at all. I do not even know what depressed feels like. I do not spend "time" pondering like your trying to say either. It may take 10 to 15 seconds of my time (thoughts) to wonder about someone who died at my age. Then life continues. I do not worry about anything, ask my wife. I am living my life to the fullest that I can and enjoying it quite a bit. I love my job, my wife, my cats, my computers, my games, my dvds and my country, good, bad or indifferent. I am not ready to die, but I am getting ready to retire. So if your depressed by what we are talking about, maybe you shouldn't read it?

Yes it is, but it is also about friends. This is a club. If somebody wants to spill I'll listen. I have met many friends due to virtual railroading over the past 15 years and the ones who are still here and have come back are still my friends. I'm not talking "internet" friends. I'm talking face to face break bread friends. THAT is what is great about our virtual world, not just a railroad game.

Plan on making the next meet. I don't know where it will be and I'm not rich. Start saving your pennies now. I think this club is about friends first, it's just that we all like railroading. !*salute*!

Just a FYI as the main admin for this forum I try very hard to read every post on all of the threads so thing don't get out of hand, constantly fixing spelling errors for people who don't know how to or don't care to use spellcheck, and otherwise moving things around since some also don't bother to get things in the right topic so their questions go unanswered. If I get a bit testy occasionally it's because some seem to be compelled to comment on everything even if they have nothing to say and it gets tiresome. Compliments on someones work or pictures is always appreciated and never frowned upon but just silly flip comments are just a waste of space although good humor is nice. Lastly and I'll shut up for at least a bit is that sometimes I think some have never heard of our excellent PM system and prattle on about stuff of no interest to anyone else yet they persist in going back and forth again taking up space.
OK. Rant off.

I did not think this thread would take off like it did. I was just trying to explain why I could not get the uploads posted.

We have all agreed to not post political stuff on here. Please refrain from talking about Obamacare as it is certainly a political topic.
