So I know CSX 8888 has been sent to Cumberland I think for scrapping. Has it been rebuilt to an SD40-3 yet?

It will be rebuilt to a SD40-3

As CSX Says: "CSX officials replied that they did not feel the locomotive worthy of preservation, and that it would be rebuilt as part of the SD40-3 rebuild program in late 2014 and early 2015"
