Overpowered?

Here's something you don't see very often; 16 locomotives on one train. To make it ever better, the leader is an SD40-2 running long hood forward.

I wonder how much train they could pull if all the locos were online and running at full power.

Haha, this is a "WOW"-train. !*brav*!

Nice to see the old Santa Fe SD40 and there is a great variety of locos in this consist: Gevos, Dash9s, SD40s and many paint schemes.
If only the guy hadn't filmed it from a bicycle. *!greengrin!*

I was so mad, last Saturday, I went out to watch NASCAR and saw a huge power move. Was 3 of the Warbonnet BNSF's, 3 Santa Fe Warbonnet's and the rest BNSF new colors. At the end, was an old, drag out Yellowbonnet Santa Fe Geep, complete with graffiti. My cell phone cam sux big rocks. Pics I tried to get all washed out like my laundry. !*not-ok*!

It saw a lot of that happening with the SP (10 to 15 engines and 20 freight cars). I was informed (by a semi-reliable source) that they were moving the power around. Sounded reasonable to me. Is this true?

Yeah it's called a power move. As the name suggests, they do it when they need to move the locomotives to other areas.

In this case, only 3 of the locomotives on the train were actually running. The other 13 were just being towed.
