Want to scare folks a lot?

Grab a rock, have a seat, and talk about the real world of trains.

I know and work with some tractor trailer tanker drivers who carry some really Bad toxic and flamible cargo's. As with freight trains, nobody has any idea what their carrying.
They are great veteran truck drivers, but the danger is there. Maybe more so then freight trains.
Work and play safe.

Let them think what they want, it's clear by the fact almost all of the 250 signs they put up were stolen that they aren't going anywhere with this. Railways are growing and there is a massive need for oil, States aren't going to ban such a big money making opportunity

From what I've seen of the signs, most are not posted on public property, and the law doesn't protect them from the landowner getting rid of them.

That said, we've had some of these folks laying on tracks blocking access to the refinery. No accounting for stupid.

You don't want it to be publicly known what out trains are hauling at any given time..

Unfortunately, the NIMBY's are brain dead. They want to enjoy all of the advantages of oil, like plastics, pharmaceuticals, motor fuels etc. But oh no, don't refine it in my back yard. Years ago, the Vancouver, WA area had a chance at becoming a very large refinery town, but they said no and now all of the Alaskan pipeline oil heads to Asia. There is a old saying, if you want to dance, you have to pay the fiddler. Alternate technologies are still not a replacement for fossil fuels, someday they might be but until then we need to continue to pay the fiddler. We also need to be good stewards, so safety and care must also be taken, transporting and refining oil.
Cheers,
